Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie was born as Countess Stephanie Marie Claudine Christine de Lannoy on 18th February 1984. Stephanie was born in Belgium to Count Philippe de Lannoy and his wife Alix. She is the youngest of eight children and has 3 sisters and 4 brothers. The Countess was taught at a Dutch language school before going to boarding school in France for a number of years and returning to Brussels to complete her education. Stephanie's further education was undertaken in Moscow and Berlin.
Stephanie married Hereditary Grand Duke, Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg on the 19th and 20th of October 2012 (civil ceremony followed by a religious one the next day). Stephanie became the Hereditary Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. The Hereditary Grand Duchess gave birth to the couple's first child on May 10th 2020, Prince Charles of Luxembourg.
